About Dr. Juanita Daniels-Johnson

Dr.  Juanita Daniels-Johnson was born in the city of Newark, New Jersey, on March 23rd, to Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Lena Daniels.  She came into the world three months earlier than the expected due date.  She always looked at her arrival on this planet as significant, purposeful, and comedic.  She absolutely knew it was the divine and sovereign hand of GOD.  She immediately began to change lives. Her grandmother, Lonie Key Jones, was certainly not envisioning to care for a newborn in her house at that age. However, due to the complexities of the living conditions of her parents, being reared by her grandmother became a necessity.  She was born as the fifteenth child to a family that eventually consisted of nineteen children. Dr. J was able to escape the plan of living in that household.  She was doted on by her grandmother.

She was born with remarkable gifts. At a very young age, she discovered her singing voice and her ability to perform theatrically. She grew up in the arts and attended Arts High School, where she began to play a horn instrument.  Immediately after graduation, she attended a performing arts school in the city of New York called “The Negro Ensemble Company.” This, she believes, is one of the highlights of her life; many fine, dedicated performers of this time went to this theatrical school.

While attending her dream school, she met her sweetheart, her husband, Mr. Walt Johnson.  He was a guy with big dreams, as she was.  They both wanted to explore the world.  They decided the best way was to take the show on the road and join the Air Force.  They started their life of travel, and the passion filled Dr. J as she was continuously moving and seeing new beginnings.

One of the greatest new beginnings was to become a mother for the first time. She bore three beautiful little girls. Teresa took a while to come, but she was the daughter of waiting. Her stillborn daughter Felicia, was her angel, and the daughter who brought her hope was Kristen.  These two daughters gave her eight grandchildren: Maya Alexandra, Daniel, Destiny, Joseph, Joy, Lily, Christopher Noah, and the newest great-granddaughter, Ava!

She began her spiritual journey in the 1980s through a miraculous encounter with God. She began to understand her true calling and divine purpose. She began to preach and teach in various local churches, also discovering a unique gift to heal the sick and to experience visions and dreams. People began to seek her out for counsel and sound wisdom for their lives. Her community vocation was in the educational system.  She had a love for teaching young people and watching them absorb the knowledge through excitement and applicability.

Throughout her life, she has pursued a plan to develop herself along the way through obtaining to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management, a master’s degree, and a doctorate degree in Christian Education.

Finally, she is on a new pursuit. It is called the Writer’s Path. She desires to inspire others to join her on this journey to discover their purpose and to look at defining life events and reflect on them, and discover the ways they overcame.
